1990 civic/crx si jdm DOHC ZC engine swap
I just swapped in a DOHC ZC into my 92 civic hatch everything is hooked up but falls on its face when you rev it hard, but if you slowly push the gas it runs fine. any help would be appreciated
It may not throw codes as they both use the same voltage. Codes should pop up when the sensors measure out side of their parameters , in this case that may not happen. Are you using a JDM ZC ecu for a EG civic?
im using a po6 im not sure if its chipped for the engine. i got the full swap for free. the guy didnt know wat was done to the engine but i tore it apart and found out its fully built with srp pistons, eagle rods, stage 3 spec racing clutch, arp full bolt set, a header, obd0 ecu, obd1 ecu, obd0 wire harnest, obd1 wire harnest.
You need a OBD1 JDM P29 ecu to run it stock. Try the TPS and MAP plugs as they can be placed on the wrong sensors accidentally. If that doesnt work then maybe you need a ecu tune.
ill try it i just dont have the money to chip the po6 n cant find the p29 in missouri cuz im the only one here that has a zc engine well atleast the DOHC pm7 engine.
