Icon2 Replaced stock stereo now low volume output

I recently replaced the stock stereo in my 2006 honda civic with a Premium Stereo MP3 CD Player. My problem is I have very little volume, turn to max and can barely hear it. Wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this mess I have created.

Are you sure you connect the speakers correctly? Maybe mix the neg with posi? Maybe your old stock radio was connected to a factory amp.

Need lots more info,,,

MM&Y of car it's in???

Make and model number of new HU, [Head Unit/stereo]?

Did you use a harness adapter, [if so what make] or did you cut off the stock radio plug and "hardwire" the new HUs wire harness?

Was it just a HU you installed or did you do speakers, an amp or anything else? 94

Good morning fcm

My car is a 2006 Honda Civic LX
HU is a Premium Stereo MP3 CD

I have only replaced the HU did not cut off the old plugs, used them to install the new HU, I'm thinking it has something to do with the amp. We never had a problem with the volume before. The original unit would work on an off, starting the car it would be fine but when you pressed the brakes or turned on the fan or lights it would just cut out.

If you need any other info let me know.

Thanks
