Will a aftermarket header make a big difference on a crx dx with mpfi?
As most of you guys probably know, I have a 91 crx dx with MPFI. I just recently perchased a short ram, and was interested in an aftermarket header for my ride. Looking at the stock manifold, it does not look like it was well designed. It has the apperance of an 4-1 shorty, which i don't think is good for midrange power. Will it make a difference? Does it matter what brand of header? I'd like to hear personal experiences from anyone who has a header on the 1.5 liter motor.
absolutely, the first thing i did was MPFI swap, then got a CAI, then header, then fulle exhaust, the header made the most difference after the MPFI swap.
How does it run? And what type of header are you using? All I have is a short ram, and I can feel a little extra power up top, and a willingness to rev, but not much more. So the header is the best thing you can do? I need some midrange power.

put it this way, if youre contemplating about putting a header on or not, DO IT!!!! i have the fastest SOHC in tucson and its a 1.5 NON-vtec, that should say enough right there. im using a DC sports knockoff, 4-2-1, got it for $140 shipped from canada.
abig difference? no...turbo or some sort of forced induction is a big difference...but a header would deff. help out
Sorry, no turbo for me, I like NA. so it dosent really matter what brand? I don't want to spend to much money on a header, but I will be swapping in a d16y7 in about a month or two, and since I know headers are interchangeable on these motors, I just want a head start.
