Help! Don't know much about my honda!
So recently my car has been making an awful screeching noise when I start my car and it also shakes a lot. It settles after a while, but the screeching noise still happens sometimes when I turn on my air conditioner/heat in my car. Then it'll go away. This morning I refilled my coolant/anti-freeze cause it was empty and maybe not even an hour later I started my car and white smoke came out of my exhaust. I have a 2001 honda accord ex and it's a pretty run down car. I don't know what to do. Help!
Squealing = Loose or worn alternator or power steering belt. Check for wear and ensure that they are reasonably tight.
White smoke = usually means blown head gasket. This will require some tools and work. If you are not mechanically inclined. You would be best to take it to a shop.

Thanks for the response I took it to get it checked out and I actually need to replace my radiator!
But for hondas it's relatively cheap and easy to do on your own. Def selling my car afterwards though haha

White smoke out the exhaust and they tell you to replace the rad....... I can see if the rad had a leak, in turn causing your low coolant level. However, you may also have another issue due to running the engine with a low coolant level. Did you ever notice the temp gauge go into the red?
Just remember if you are going to sell it, you should disclose the cooling system issues to any potential buyer.
