Front lower U bar *pic*
Anyone know if these these old school Front lower U bars are still available for purchase online? If so, where? I've searched everywhere online and cannot find them anymore, including trusty Ebay.
It was a product that was offered up until a few years ago, at which time, it got replaced by the current 'H brace'.
Old school U bar:

H brace:

I had rubbing issues with the H braces, due to that horizontal section piece in the middle.

Has anyone installed the NRG brace (their 96-00 version) onto a 99 Si?
I installed a generic H brace purchased on Ebay made for 96-00 Civic, and it didn't fit my car. That H brace has the 2 holes on each end as seen in this pic below:

I installed a different H brace back in the day that has only 1 hole, and that DID FIT my 99 Si.

Is the NRG brace for the EK have 1 hole or 2 hole version? It seems the 1 hole version is for the EK, and the 2 hole version is for the EG/DC.

NRG brace on a 97 hatchback. It's the "two hole" version. Installed with no issues. If you bought one of those generic knock-offs then I can't speak to those.
Also you never mention HOW it is that the brace does not fit and if you have a header or any mods that might be obstructing installation.

Can't speak to knock off garbage. The NRG bar is not that expensive.

I've never heard of anyone wanting to add more connecting points to an H-Brace. I think you should leave well enough alone. Besides, how would you attach it and keep it sturdy?
Got a tig welder?
As I said before, the NRG seems to be the best one and one of the cheapest also. I would get it if I were inclined to buy one.

Crap, I just got my NRG 4pt brace today but haven't had the chance to install it yet.
Then I stumbled onto this page here........... dammmmmit.
The NRG 4 Point Front Lower Tie bar is designed to stiffen up your front subframe for better handling.
Fits:
92-00 Civic / Del Sol (may not fit 99-00 Civic Si)

I will try to install it nevertheless. I hope it fits, but I don't have high hopes.

Well the anticipation is killing me. It's already late as hell right now, but the car nut in me wants to know whether indeed it fits or not and if I just wasted my money. So........ I went ahead and jacked up my car.
After I finish eating, I will be crawling under there and try to put this thing on. I hope good fortune is on my side.
