well everyone,im selling the hb.i bought this monday in awsome condition!
1991 eagle talon tsi: all wheel drive turbo with 119,000 miles.no rust dents nothing!!!!!!!!! im going to try out a dsm and see what happens.i have had hondas for 11 years and i still love them the most.honda has never let me down,i can get in and go anywhere.ill still be on h-t though,helping people out.i need to sell my baby though!

idk i hate dsms they are every where, they are ugly played and u better start looking for a new tranny, cause 18psi equals one think shot tranny and your turbo will be shoot soon too nad also dont forget how every dsm burns mad oil, especially the older ones get ready for some repairs

bottom line (dont take this to heart)

no nice worked ef arent every where 92+ gay hatches are, how many honestly nice 88-91 crx or civics are there, not many a lot rusted and alot riced

here in ny, everyone has a dsm
im not starting **** but,

they are beaten hard (tranny ouch) there internals are shot, try runing more boost in a 3rd gen stock setup by putting the wastegate hose, boom a shot bottom, they are quick stock but unless u dump cash for new internals they are unreliable

I have a couple friends with really fast DSMs. They're good cars, and you make them pretty quick for cheap. They really are your best bang for the buck. I've been thinking of picking one up myself.

 

i personally like the dsm's. I was planning on getting one until i found out about the reliability problems and ****. First mod you should get should be a full 3" exhaust. BAM!! 30hp, also, do not boost above 15 psi with the stock turbo, after 15 your just blowing hot air. go to http://www.dsmtalk.com for a bunch of info. on the car!

I am sorry. DSMs are not that nice. 2 of my friends owned them and have only had problems. Tranny problems the most. Both of them went on the same day and were $2000CDN for the one to fix and $800CDN for the other. They are great turbo cars, but they look like newer Saturns.

dsm is an awesome car but it definitely has reliability problems.

but every car has it's problems. i don't think every dsm has rust on the rear quarters

but i think i'd rather have rust on the rear quarters than a blown engine/trans/transfer case etc.. haha

 

congratulations man. Maybe compared to a Honda they are unreliable, but thats what you get with AWD and a turbo. awesome car man.

 

yeha keep that honda- its gonna be your dailydriver while hte DSM gets fixed

don't listen to the haters. I bought a 1990 Talon tsi awd for 2,000. I put ross forged pistons in it, removed the balance shaft, ran 20psi on race gas at the track and pulled a 13.3@99mph. Not bad for 3,500 total invested. If you don't believe me go to gateway.dsm.org and ask them. I did it 3 times in front of numerous witnesses. 1.8 60ft. Stock turbo, stock exhaust, stock fuel system, stock head. DSMS ARE DEMONS. I have a 91 I'm building right now for race only

 

Well, at least you don't have to worry about crank walk like you do on the 2nd gen DSM's. And the first mod you should do is hack the airbox and slap a K&N cone air filter on it. And check out these sites:

My friend just blew his DSM turbo at 60k! Their reliablity is the biggest question. Personally i don't like the clutches either, they pop out too fast!
