Default need help!! with temp gauge

so i when i purchased my rsx from some guy he had a water temp gauge installed. in the beginning, it was fine. it wasnt fluctuating or anything. but recently it started to fluctuate. i asked my cousin to check it out for me, he said everything was fine. got it just be a bad sensor or something? thermostat need? please help.

the brand is prosport bro. it just keeps fluctuating n all. im not really sure if its electrical or mechanical. but im assuming its electrical.cause the temp gauge on the odometer doesnt fluctuate.

The stock temp gauge is more of a visual idiot light, unless the engine is cold or extremely overheated. It's stationary from around 170 to over 210F.
