Default b16 turbo ef running

ok so I finished turbo install on the b16 hatch that I got for $800...

got it tuned and drove it around for a couple of days,
now its started burning oil quite a bit, the first time it happened I just turned it on in the morning and it puffed out a cloud of blue (oil) smoke but then it was cool once it warmed up, its also been burning oil under boost.

when my wastegate is open i can see that the the smoke is coming out of my wastegate as well. does this mean that the engine is whats burning oil not the turbo? i have my return line set up like this obviously not 100% ideal but I'm waiting on a 60 degree swivel fitting to replace the useless 15 degree one...

i have the moroso pan and it seems like the return bung placement isn't ideal either, when i unscrew the fitting about a quart of oil dumps out

it sounds like you need a catch can ...the boost pressure is probably increasing crankcase vent pressures therefore pushing oil through valve seals/pcv system back into the intake and into the combustion chambers ....also put a dump on that wastegate before you set your front end on fire

haha, there is no front end on it right now... but yeah i'll get the dump on that ASAP.

I actually figured out my ****in problem is the Moroso pan's bung placement. the bung is lower then the actual oil level is so the oil was backing up in the return line and making it push through the turbo seals. i tried running it with about a quart less oil and it doesn't smoke at all. so, blame Moroso for shitty R&D and don't buy their pans! lol

i seriously have to run it a quart low or it smokes like ****in crazy
