Post 95 Civic Si Build (B16B)

I acquired this 95 Civic Si from my brother two years ago. My brother was the second owner of the car. He originally purchased the car as his daily driver and had no plans to mod the car. I kept buggin him to mod the car and not let it go to waste. After debating back and forth since the day he purchased it he finally caved and gave up the hatch.

When I took delivery the only two mods the car had were some 16in Motegi rims and an ebay Intake. That was it. Pretty much a virgin Si.

There was on one stipulation. I must keep the car, and modify it tastefully. No ricey stuff, lol.

So after two years, here is what I have done so far.

B16B Complete Swap
Exceddy Stage 1 Clutch
Clutch Master Flywheel
3in Intake with VL
Running CTR ECU (odb2 to obd1 harness)
EP3 Seats
BWR Aluminum Radiator with hoses (3core)
Buddy Club N+ CoilOver Suspension
PLM Toda Rep Header
No Name test pipe 2.5in
Apexi WS2 Full Exhaust
Eibach frobt/rear sway bars
Skunk2 Upper Control Arms with Camber Kit
ASR rear subframe brace
Beaks Lower tie bar
BWR LCAs
BWR Rear camber Kit
Password JDM 3 Point front strut bar
15in Rota Circuit 10
205/50/15 Star Spec tires (these tires are sweeeeeeet!!!!)
Urethane bushings throughout
** still have the power steering and a/c) **

Here are some pics. I will have to look through my old pics and see if I can dig up some more. Hope you guys like my set up, Not a fast car but fun to drive.

Future plans. Fix quarter panels. Paint car. Build the head. Stay ALL MOTOR.

Nice. Why a B16 though? Would have just gone with the JDM B18C.

Everyone always ask the same question. I would like to Stay at 1.6 platform. I think Honda did it right from the factory with the B16B.

I've always wanted to do a B16B project as well, even though the B18C as stated will be more potent from factory as far as numbers at least.

Cool dude...I have a white bubble w/ a ctr swap as well. And yeah, everyone asks me the same question all the time. Why a 1.6? Why not just get the jdm gsr or b18cr? If I ever have a thirst for more displacement, b16b block is a p72 casting...swap in gsr or itr crank, there yeah go whinners. Im probably gonna stick 1.6 as well. Cant complain about near perfect rod/stroke ratio eh...

Why is this thread in the 'all motor' forum?
Am I missing something?

I hear you man. Pretty much everyone I know GSRs. But the way vtec kicks in in the b16b and the way it sounds just priceless. I would just like to build the head. But overall car just drives great. I find myself going to the store for no reason that just to drive the car some more.

Your not missing anything at all. This is an ALL MOTOR forum. I decided to put this thread here because I plan to stay all motor. B16B was made for that.

But if my thread has inconvenienced you in any way what so ever please feel free to move it to the proper forum. My apologies to you good sir.

I was actually planning on doing that this summer. But my girl is expecting our second baby in January. So I had to put a small pause to Project EG B16B. lol.

Im going have to go through all my Honda Spare Parts (mostly all used stuff that has been aquired through the years) and see what I can sell or bare to part with.

I have read a lot of good things about your Cams/Head Work. i think I will have to hit you up sometime to help me build that head.

I was just saying the same thing to my girl a little while ago. Ive gone through 3 Integra GSRs 3 CRXs and two Hatchbacks in the past Five Years oh and 1 SRT(this was a dark time in my life, I went to the dark side with SRT). And hands down no contest this hatch is my favorite one. I wish I would have gone down this route from the beginning. I would have one hell clean B16B hatch.

I clicked your thread because, well, who wouldn't want to read about a B16b build. My reaction was based on the fact that, disappointingly, I didn't find any tech.

Apology not required; do something cool with it.

Added a few more items to the car. I got the PassJDM CF Scoops for the bumper, some Skunk2 Dress up Stuff for the engine bay and also an Optima Battery.

Im also looking into possibly getting some red Recaro DC2 (R) seats.

Yeah that motor moves decent. Love the way Vtec kicks in. But the car is a work in progress, still have a long way to go to get the car were I want it.
