Default EMUSA Full Set Coilovers issues

Ok I got this full set from this guy on CL and he said it will fit my SI hatch . I brought it home and tried to install the front ( forget the rear for now) when I tried to put the lower part into my EF fork IT DIDN'T FIT ... The part is too big to fit in the fork so the question is can I use the EG fork to use on my hatch ? What are my options here? Am I going into another issue if I use different fork? And No I'm not going to slam the car ... Maybe 1" lower .

well eg and ef forks are the same size as far as the hole for the shockbody, but the eg forks are around 1" shorter...

This is completely wrong.

And yes, you can use the Eg fork. The Eg fork is slightly longer than the EF fork, so you'll have to compensate with coilover height adjustment.

Thanks for the replied and the two bolts will line up perfect right? Any other fork that I can use in this case? DC ? Or maybe DA? I asked this because I might not be able to find the EG fork .

DC = EG. And you can still buy new from the dealership parts counter for either.

However, I'd be way more worried about used craigslist coilovers...especially since the dude already lied to you about fitment.

Yea man I really don't want to go into the detail how he lied to me about the fitment but hey what goes around comes around so it's cool . Now you make me worry about this fork let's say if I able to find the EG one and who knows these coilover will fit or not ? Too much headache I prolly end up selling it and of course will make a note " not sure wat fit in " lol.

Result : I installed the front earlier and took out for the test drive . I'm in the
Market for the new full-set of coilover now . Yes i did learned my lesson . Anyways, anyone heard of Yonaka Coilover ? I ran thru a few threads and looks like everyone like them . Please chime in if you know anything about them .

From another thread on coilovers:

They're out of stock, but I'd wait for them.

You have to reuse your stock top hats.

That's as low as they'll go, with no interior, so I'll probably have to raise it a bit once it has all the weight in it.

The Yonaka is not a cheap coilover ... You can go to their website and check it . Its about the same price as F&F and other Coilovers . I bought it because I went through a lot of forums ...some like it and some don't so I guess depends on ur taste . Like i said I will report back if they ain't a good one .

Price does not mean quality.

Sure, they're $900 on their site, but they're $500 on ebay.

I'm not saying they're junk, I'm just saying that a price that's listed that nobody pays, does not equate to quality.

I have no first hand experience with any of their products, from what I hear they've gotten better in the last year or so, but they're still on the low end of things.
