I just purchased a 2010 civic EX-L with 36,500 miles for I I also sprung for the hondacare 8 year/120 mile warranty. They were really pushing 3rd party coverage from olymicare, but i wasn't going to go the 3rd party route.

Anyway, about me. I am not a major car techie girl. Honestly I have no idea how to change my oil, but I do like to properly maintain my cars and be on the look out for any issues.

I have a 2002 hyundai accent that i purchased new that has served me VERY well and has 120,000 miles on it. (Still keeping this car, at least for now)
Whenever an issue popped up I really liked going to the forums for help because it made me sound somewhat car intelligent when I went to get it worked on.

I do have a small trunk issue, that I am taking the civic back to the dealership for tomorrow to get looked at. So I guess my first question here is, are there any known issues with the 2010 Civic Ex-l (2 door) that I need to look out for?

Welcome to the boards. I'd recommend also signing up on 8thcivic.com as that forum is a little more specific to the 8th generation of civics (what you have). Either way, post up any questions you have and you'll eventually get an answer.

 

no known 10 civic problems atleast from a dealership side. the 12's have a cv axle problem that needs to be addressed but other then that there aren't any known problems
