Default PM-3 head cyclinder

What would happen if I go back to my orginal engine D15b2 non vtec (block only)?

I want to keep the PM-3 that is attached to the two injecters monifold, and a D16a6 block , and a PM5 ecu?

And can anyone tell me why current set up boggs, when shifting and would current set up need timing to be adjusted cuase of the PM5 ecu?

Knocking noise coming from engine block , thinking this set up is F-uped.

Knocking is a pretty bad sign.

Just switching the block won't do anything bad. The 1.5 and 1.6 16valve engines from 88-91 share the same head anyway. The real question is what camshaft is in there currently. By using the 1.5 block and the DPFI setup you're just assembling a stock motor that more than likely came in there originally.
