hey i have a 92 civic 4 door, and it needed a hood due to some dents and damage. so i went to the junk yard and pulled one off a 95. but it won't fit. it won't shut and is a bit off from where the latch is. any ideas? i took the hinges off the 95 and used those, and it didnt change anything, and i used the ones that were on the 92 originally and it didn't change it. I have also left the bolts loose and tried to wiggle it in to place with no luck. any ideas?

 

Is the 95 parts car a sedan, coupe, or hatch?

are the hinges bent? or the latch not bolted where it should, or bent as well.

 

i'm not really sure. the original hood has the part that goes into the latch bent a some weird angle in order to make it close. i know this thing was in a accident, but it seems like the fenders need to shift over slightly to meet up with the hood, and the latch needs to move about 1/4 inch to the left. the hinges aren't bent, i tried the ones from the car, and then the ones from the junk yard with the same result
