Default lowering 97 accord

I'm lowering my 97 accord 2 in. and is it going to throw the scrub radius off so bad that im going to be trashing ball joints and wheel bearings all the time? or can I get by without a camber kit?I'm asking because I know that it effects different cars in different ways.

Curious to your previous car ownership to be having problems like that...

I just lowered my CE wagon and noticed one of my upper arms balljoints was leaking. I'm going to chuck it up to the car being 19 years old, vs. the strains of lowering.

Just do it, get an alignment. If you don't like the camber settings get a camber kit. Simple as ****.

The camber will be off for sure. What are you lowering your car on?

You will need camber kit. I'm dropped on 1.5" all around and I would go through tires every 5-6 months. Tire worn has slowed down for me with Ingalls camber kits all around.

several alignemnt guys have all told me the same thing over the years: Camber setting does not wear your tires, its the toe being thrown out of wack from constatly dismanteling/ altering your suspension.

first: install your new spring strut, if coilovers then adjust to a height you are comfortable with and wont have to mess with anymore

then take to an alignment shop and have them fix the toe setting. i did this to my old integra and drove it to work everyday for over a year to work 65 mile round trip and the tires wore evenly. After that year i sold the car to a friend who beat the living **** out of it running over potholes and speedbumps w no remorse so that finally messed it up.

I have 2 accords and they both are lowered on function form suspension the wagon has camber front and back and the 4dr doesn't have any camber and i haven't had no problems with either yet. wagon had it for about a year now and the 4dr like 3 months.

wagon has 18x9 and 4dr 18x7.5 and don't have no prob with none.

I just aligned my wagon today, and the camber in the front is different by 1*.

2.5 driver, 1.5 passenger.

Needless to say I'd like to get a kit to even this out.

I remember reading somewhere you can use EF Civic camber kits, does anyone remember if that's front or rear?

What's a good brand that doesn't run too expensive?

Thanks.

I choosed the anchor kit from Ingalls. Had to do a little cutting to keep it from banging the upper lip but now no camber issues whatsoever. I was like you, almost one degree difference from drivers side to ppassenger side. Lowered 2 inches.
