i have a 89 crx si all stock i need upgrade advise
EDIT:
im 100% sure my advice will go unheeded, but my advice to what to upgrade is:
D O N ' T.
just focus on maintaining the car, replacing components that need servicing with OEM parts. not parts store, not rockauto, not "upgrade" aftermarket. just service the damn car, learn how to work on cars and save your money til you have a better clue and dont have to ask others what to do with your own car.

There is lots you can do, but most of it isnt cheap if you want any real improvement. A Cam would make you smile.
yep, keep it stock. id upgrade to a good set of coilovers (yellows/ground controls), freshen up the brakes (or get the s2000/prelude 11.1" front upgrade), stainless brake lines, 15/16" MC, and redo all the balljoints/tie rod ends/bushings while its all apart. if the engine runs fine, LEAVE IT. do a major tune up, perhaps, but please just leave it alone....
if you want more power, buy a built engine or do a swap...the A6 will run forever if you treat it right..

Part it out and sell me some of the good bits!!!

But seriously....if it's really stock, you would do best to leave it stock and start restoring it's factory performance. Maybe at most a set of H&R, Eibach or Neuspeed lowering springs.
In my stock 89, all the rubber components were shot. I've re-done the entire front end bushings. All the motor mounts. Front shocks. And now I'm working on some rear bushings. The trailing arm bushings are the noisiest/squeakiest thing left in the car. I just hammered the old ones out, but I had to press the new ones in (new wouldn't hammer in).
I can't stress it enough: new OEM motor mounts (don't waste time w/ aftermarket) made the biggest improvement. Best $250 I ever spent on this car. Smooth & no more rattles in the cabin or sunroof. And when I start it up, the motor sounds like it's in another room somewhere (L & R mount). Shifting is 10x smoother (rear mount).
BTW: Save this link for looking up part numbers: http://www.hondapartsnow.com/Page_Pr...olorLabelID=-1

This. An unmolested CRX Si that is in decent shape is an increasingly rare thing these days. I would be devastated to find out you cut corners to save cash and effectively destroyed the car.
I would do as they have suggested. Very minor things as well as just updating the car and getting its maintenance caught up.

I 100% agree. If you re-read my post, you will see I use HondaPartsNow to look up part numbers, yet I order from OEMAcuraParts.com. HondaPartsNow is just easier to navigate. Though OEMAcuraParts website is getting better all the time. I will probably switch over my saved links to their site soon.
Additionally HondaPartsNow has a more accurate records of which parts have been discontinued. This is becoming a much bigger issue ordering EF parts.
Any comments on HondaPartsDeals.com & CRX parts? They are now advertising free shipping over $250 (but they can't get Acura parts).

H&R Coilover's, DC Sport's Header's, Magnaflow cat, Michelin Tire's, NGK Spark Plug Wire's, Built head (D16A6 ZC Head for sohc) (B18C GSR for dohc), PS: Keep everything STOCK!
