Default CRV Rear wheel frozen

I have a 2001 CRV
Manual transmission
210000 mi

Went out of town for the weekend So I backed it to the top of the driveway (slight incline) left it in first and set the parking break. On my return when I went to move it the driver side rear wheel was locked up solid. The three others turn perfectly.

Would appreciate any ideas on troubleshooting this issue

Thanks

hmm..

have you tried breaking it free, as in maybe giving it some taps with a hammer?

and have you tried driving forward?

anywho, 99% chance whatever bound up is inside that drum... which will be much more cooperative if you can somehow get it free.

Tried moving the car forward and backward with no success. Just drags the tire.

Are you talking about just hitting the rim or something else?

Thanks

Depends on the rim. If its a steelie, yeah, just smack the middle of the rim with a large hammer. Get someone to try moving the vehicle back and forth between smacks. The other option is to take the tire off and smack the drum around a bit. Dont hit the studs. Dont smack it too hard either as you may **** up the bearing. Best option is to just try taking the brakes apart and find out whats ****ing up.

that sucks, kinda hard to say, do you think maybe the hand break somehow gut stuck? have someone pull the handbreak up and down and go underneath the car if you could feel the tension on the breakline cable, you can try and feel the other side...i bet youll see the difference. thats all i could think off, if there something wrong with the differential then both rear wheel should have a problem, maybe im wrong...kinda like when you get stuck in the snow/mud...if one wheel get stuck the other 3 would still work/turn........ or take the wheel off, and take the drum off, if its too hard, then maybe the break got stuck...smack it with a mallet a bit...tap it around the drum..try to play with the cable line a bit.. you can use 2 10mm bolt to take it off i believe there should be 2 holes for that
then go from there and see what the ***
