Had a D15b vtec running correctly, obd-1 now for about a year in an obd-0 chassis. Only code is for IAT.

For some reason this motor has always liked the ignition timing decently advanced. Have timed it with a light and from what I've read the plug needs to be jumped like you're checking codes to properly time the engine while rpm is around 750.

Don't remember exact position of dizzy when timed with a light but the butt dyno told me it didn't like the timing where it was at and ocd kicked in so I went on a spree of constantly messing with it. Seems to feel best closer to max advancement but nowhere near max. Just wondering if anyone else has experience like this. Or if you want to throw up a pic of where your dizzy is set adjustment wise that would be helpful.

Been maintenance'd well since I've had it (previous owner who bought it from importer only drove it 30 miles ran by a Pr3 B16 ecu obd0) No pinging has ever been heard from it as well where it is currently timed and I know my mechanical timing is good.

I would say check the timing but you say you know its right on. Mine was off 3 teeth and it had no power what so ever.
