Default Hybridnorth's EK build - Little bit JDM and little bit Canadian!

Here's my little build thread. Started out as my daily driver since I was planing on building my EG. It had too must rust so I scrapped it and started throwing all my parts on to the EK.

Hope you enjoy!

When I first got it...pretty simple 97 hatch with a jdm b18c, lowered on tein basic's

Started to collect parts....

Can't just leave the rear alone with ugly *** drums...

Car had a CDN Em1 Cluster in it, which looked alright. So I spruced it up alittle.

Next was the exhaust, which had a Apexi WS2 catback setup. Ditched the muffler for a 2.5" cat with 12 and 18" resonators and a Magnaflow muffler. To finish it all off I grabbed one of these from Kidd.

Might as well help it breath better...

Skunk2 70mm

Pulled the motor and gave it a good cleanup and tune up. Also Installed a Edelbrock Px Manifold and misc slap on goodies for the motor and tranny.

I also had a CTR tranny from another swap so I threw that in for fun!

Wilwoods on the front

Working on the rear....

Got some SiR rear disc brake trailing arms and started a complete rebuild of them.

New Shoes!!!!

On the ground for the first time in a long time.

Thats enough for now, I got more pics since I have been working on it for the last 7 months on and off.

Suspension Setup has changed:

KW V3's
CTR front lca's and sway bar
Skunk2 UCA
Function 7 Subframe and lca's
ASR 24mm Rear sway bar

Brakes:

GSR 1" Master Cylinder
12.9" 6 Piston Wilwoods front
11" Single piston Wilwoods Rear

Engine:

JDM B18C1
CTR Tranny
Edelbrock Px
Skunk2 70mm Throttle body
Kidd Racing Header
ACT Clutch and Flywheel
Skunk2 Cam Gears

Interior:

Stack tach
Status Racing Ring GT in Kelvar <- Thanks to Tim from Hybrid Racing for a sick deal
PCI Seat Rails
JDM ITR Rear Seat (Upper) - 2 door ITR
JDM ITR Rear Seat (Lower) - 4 door ITR
TDM Cross Bar
2000 EK Dash Conversion (Double Din)
Power Windows
JDM Power Folding Mirrors <- With the proper EDM base for the drivers side, no messed up viewing angles for this guy
Infinity 6 1/2" Components
Infinity 6x9
Exile 4ch amp

Chassis:

Driver and Passenger side headlight harness de-pinned and tucked
Fuse panel tucked behind glovebox
Oddessy Battery
Tucked charge wiring
Koyo Full Size Rad

Exterior:

JDM SIR Headlights with Morimoto Mini H1 Projectors
CTR Rear Spoiler

I will update this as I work on it!!!

Sold the Enkei's earlier this year and bought these:

Work RSZ-R 16x7 White with polished lip. There's some curbage and one wheel has a small bend.

Dropped them off to get repaired. Decided to change the colour and mixed up a gunmetal colour from a Maserati <img name="icon" src="http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emwink.gif" border="0">

Lips repolished

New Decals from AFK Dist. (Work distributor no fakies)

Stickers on

Next on the list of things....

At first I wasn't too sure with the first set of wheels you had on there but it looks much better with the RSZs. Did you have those painted or powder coated? I just think you should repaint the bay and it would look perfect.

Thanks, they look great at night, not too bright or distracting.

The rota's were only on the car for a couple months since the original plan was to daily this car, then when I sold my project car (eg) I decided to go legit with the ek and started collecting.

The wheels were painted by a wheel shop out here, the engine bay is next on my list. I repainted the car about 4 months ago and fixed all the little dents and such. But I wasn't in the mood to start pulling everything out of the bay just yet. Im thinking this winter the engine bay will get some well needed TLC.

p.s. I just checked out your build thread and great job!

So those Wilwoods fit under those 15" Rota's?

Looks really nice though. Also, you should do a nice HD night shot of your whole cluster/wheel setup. Something lets say... right at the top of the door panel, but outside a bit or something, lol. (Just a nice clear pic

Those were 16" Rota's, you would hard pressed to find 15's that would clear this setup.

Thanks for the photo idea, I will see what I can do. Too bad it decided to pour rain the last few days here.

Cmc and spacer were from checkered and the line is a universal -3 braided line by earls 60" I believe.

The guage pod ismade by Westhill Motorsports in Japan, tough to find.

Sad day for the build, it is now over and my part out has begun. Time for a new project
