So i used new ebay diff with syncrotech rebuild kit and drive about 300km in street and then at circuit track, after few laps driver side transaxle popped of and broke that transaxle hole in diff. What could cause this problem? Just ebay diff or what? Next diff is quaife or mfactory and dont wanna ruin it too. End of transaxle was also gone, will post better pics later.

 

What brand diff? Saying eBay doesn't tell us much, I can only assume its some cheapo junk. In that case the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

 

i have about 4 junk obx diffs in my garage right now. buy a mfactory and be done.

Mirage lsd from ebay, many people have success with these knockoff diffs, so i tried.. Mfactory helical is also knockoff from quaife, right? And if you try you find they had also problems with axles, so maybe quaife next.

No, we are not a knockoff of the Quaife. Just because we offer a Helical LSD, it doesn't mean it is a cheap copy of a Quaife. They did not invent the Helical LSD, Gleason did (aka Torsen aka oem Type-R).

And if you try, you will find that we don't have problems with axles. It was OBX and Wavetrac that had the axle issues. We are probably the only company to ever release an aftermarket Helical LSD for the mainstream Honda without issues.

I see other diffs has problems too. I just dont want to do it again. Have to take apart that lsd and see.

Mista bone: End of the axle is gone but how it looks through axle seal it looks that diff is too. When i installed axles it was 100% inside hole, cant go deeper than that.

Mfactory: Im maybe wrong but ive heard many times that quaife lsd is better than oem typer lsd, so is your desing like quaife or honda oem? Yours are manufactured in China, quaife in England, am i right?

 

In terms of functionality, there is no difference between the Quaife and the oem. The Quaife can just hold more power whereas the oem tends to fail at anything over 400whp.

All Helical LSD's function in the same way. Whereas the Quaife/OBX/Mirage are the same as the oem in terms of torque transfer, ours are slightly more aggressive.

Our LSD's are not made in China. Besides, it is not where they are made; it is who controls the manufacturing of them that counts.
