Default My EJ2 Civic Build Thread *LOTS OF PICS*

So I'm picking this car up tomorrow, and I have a lot planned for it.

Its my 1st car I've ever owned thats manual. I recently learnt how to drive stick, and now that I am good at it, I love it and will never drive anything else but stick.

Anyways here are some pics from the kijiji AD.

Some rust I need to fix

I have some de-ricing to do.

Stay tuned. Subscribe

Brought it home last night. Washed it up a bit today. I work in an hour so I couldnt do much today.

So what it needs for safety is:
2 exhaust gaskets. One in the back and one where the cat converter is
Left lower ball joint.
Right front brakes

Also I need a valve cover gasket

So i completely tore out the interior(aside from the dash). I cleaned it all up, sprayed it with rust proof and put it all back.

Here are a few more pics. The ricer that owned this car switched the spedo to MPH. So now i have to change it back to KM

for sale 50$

Also the car is wired for subs and an amp. Thats a plus

So I did some body work just so I can pass safety. Then I will get the whole body re-done professionally.

Started to grind the rust off. I found so much bondo and i guess this car had the QPs cut out.

Just for now until I bring it to the mechanic on friday when everything is fixed for safety

I took off the ricer tail lights just to see what it looked like. Not too bad just some surface rust. Ill grind it out tomorrow. But ill probably get a cf trunk anyways

Just a small addition. I went to the junk yard this morning and got a front bumper. Suprised that this was mint as hell. Not even one scratch.

in canada you have to fix rust before you can pass inspection?

wish they'd do that in NY> you should see some of the trash people drive around down here.

It was a hole in the quarter panel. Any holes in the car will not pass safety.

Will be interesting to see where this goes...but only naive kids put junk2 parts on their car. Adults know they are all marketing hype so kids will come running with their money. Sorry for the disrespect, but their parts blow.

All their parts except the exhausts are ****. I find their exhausts very good

I might get a custom made stainless steel exhauust with a mugen twinloop muffler now.

^That would be cheaper to do anyway, would sound alot better as well. Every junk2 exhaust I have ever heard sounded so bloody ricey. Twinloops sound good regardless of what the actual exhaust set-up is.
