Default 04 civic si ep3 intake manifold question

Does anybody know about the RBC intake manifold compared to other competitiors, the skunk2 is roughly 500$, I found a RBC for 225$ http://www.karcepts.com/shop/product.php?id_product=25
Do you guys think this will make a difference in power, I have a k20a3 with a K&N intake, blackworks exhaust, testpipe, I plan on throwing a 70mm throttle body and a k-pro eventually.

If you do not have KPRO yet I would suggest buying that first. Plenty of people who run to lean by changing out the intake manifold and not tuning for it. Plus you won't get all of the gains of a new IM without tuning for it and all the other modifications. Plus truthfully even just buying Kpro you'll gain my HP than just buying an IM

The skunk manifold is an overpriced piece of crap. There are tests showing it makes as much power as an rbc at more than twice the cost. If you feel the need to spend that kind of money on a manifold get an rrc.

There's some things it's ok to cheap out on and a throttle body isn't one of them

Do not waste your time and money on a throttle body...

Please follow my advice and save up and buy kpro and a tune before anything. It's worth it I promise. If you want to mod you need to do it properly... changing your air delivery and not changing your fuel delivery is never good or safe. Plus you never fully gain what you should without tuning for that modification

moding the a3 is pointless to me it's just my 2 cents and people may start bashing but if your looking for power you need to swap it

Well I have started burning oil recently when I hit v-tec, I believe its the valve seals and guides, so I have been looking into swapping a k20a2 head, would you guys recommend this route?

I recommend either a k20a2 engine swap or a k24a2 engine swap. But like Spaz said Kpro first, then all the other mods next... have fun!

I would get all that done if i had a money tree in my back yard haha, I wish I had 3,000 to do a swap.

Then I would do mods that can transfer over to the a2 then like I believe the intake manifolds and headers, and throttle body will work on both. but with all that stuff your gonna want kpro but you can't transfer that over unless you can send the a3 ecu back and get a a2 but i don't think you can do that

In all honesty what is YOUR goal for this? In the end its a fat cow of a car...take it for what it is, if you want it to be a little quicker easiest thing is Kpro. Want to have a fast car...keep the EP as a daily driver buy something else to go fast with cause the EP is NOT the car to go fast in. Also depends on your definition of what fast is too.
