went and reset my trip meter and when i started driving noticed neither the tip nor the odometer was working anymore then randomly the next day both started working again.

what could cause this. im afraid to take the gauge pod out figuring if just pushing that little rod messed it up what could removing it do ya know.

98 civic dx (no tach on dash)

 

What did you reset it with? A hammer?

 

I'd blame it on Honda Gremlins. Just remove it, if something's busted in there it's gonna keep happening.

what am i looking for that controlls the trip and the odomiter is it a cable/wire/wheel/lever/what.
