Purchased 98 accord with a known transmission problem but after replacing it with a JDM tranny and swaping the solenoids it seems does not seem to have been the transmission itself but an electrical issue. I took it to an diagnostics shop they told me it was the ECU because the transmission was not receiving power. I swapped the ECU out had it flashed and still the same issues.

Last night I read through some of the forums and came across a blog that dicussed pressure solenoids and there codes. this morning I retrieved the codes from my ECU this is what I got.

P1768, P1773, the pressure control solenoids A, and B. lock up clutch not engaged car is stuck in 4th gear.

Questions:
1. Does the transmission only get power from the ECU.
2. Is it likely that both A,and B solenoids went bad together if so can I swap with came with the JDM tranny.
3. Is there a way to jumper the ECU wiring harness on these solenoids to make sure there is power going to solenoids and make sure there is no short in harness.

Any other suggestions??
