Default Front strut bar install

I just got my strut bars and I went out to test fit the front, and it looks like the ECU will come in contact with the mounting bracket on the passenger side. Also, on the drivers side, the clip that holds the clutch cable in place apparently needs to be moved or eliminated. Any tips?

ECU? I think you mean the fuse box...You may want to try removing the mounting bolts on the fuse box and then installing the strut bar.

yeah u must mean the fuse box under the hood, the CU in in the passengers footwell under the carpet.
Just remove the two 10mm bolts holding the fuse box on, and you should have enough room to get the strut bar on. If not, theres 5 screws and 2 connectors you have to take off the fuse box to completly remove it
good luck man

Work with me, I'm an idiot! Thanks for the replies. I'll just get my crowbar and see what happens.

proper installation of strut tower bars...
jack up the car and and put it on jack stands...
then install strut tower bars...
reason being: the strut bars hold your car, so the body won't flex during turns...
if your putting on strut bars while the car is on the ground the body is flexing all ready, so really you're holding the body while it is somewhat flexed all ready....

MY 2 cents--The fuse box does NOT need to be removed. What you want to do is bend the bracket holding the connects that are bolted to the tower next to the fusebox. Just test fit until you have enough clearance. That is what I did with my Neuspeed front bar. I do agree that it is easier to jack up one or both sides and put the car on stand(s). Whatever you do-get a torque wrench and set it for 28 foot pounds to retighten the retaining nuts on the top hats. Those studs hold the shock and spring hats in place.
