1998 Honda Accord jerking persists
Hello,
I have been using my 1998 Honda Accord LX since a year and now begining to get some issues.
I had this jerking problem a month back when suddenly my car refused to start. I managed to drive down to a auto center where they suspected cylinder misfiring. I spent $180 for the repairs and was happy until last week when it started jerking once or twice a day. The car doesnt go off but it jerks and sounds as if my acceleration is going down.
Also, i had a code p1259 running on since 2 months now. My mechanic says its not needed to repair that.
I am worried. PLease help! I am worried that my car will stop somewhere and dont carry any AAA or the likes to get help.

P1259 is a VTEC problem, i assume you have the 2.3 VTEC? Check your oil level. if that comes out OK, then your VTEC solenoid may be the problem, in fact, there may be a screen that is clogged. I am not really familier with the 2.3 VTEC, I know on my 3.0 VTEC, when yu take off the solenoid, there is a inlet screen that can get clogged.
