New/Used 2010 Civic Si clutch issues
I'm not sure if anyone here knows much or a lot about clutches... but for my 2010 Civic Si when I depress the clutch I her a few clicks on the travel down. There is one loud click on a slow depress and several on a quick depress.
Some have said it is the Master Clutch Cylinder but I am not sure... any suggestions ?
The car is due for regular maintenance but just thought I would like to try and find a possible answer before I take it in.
Thanks

hello,
i work at a dealer in Canada and get your complaint quite often, if its a quiet tick, it's normal, i've replaced clutch masters for relentless customers and the new ones have ticked too (don't forget you have two switches on the clutch pedal, one for the cruise cancel and one is the clutch safety switch) however if it's more of a squeak or a groan, ill spray lithium or silicone based grease into the plunger area of the clutch master (push clutch pedal in, spray into the exposed cavity where the rod goes into the master) and remove the fulcrum and lubricate the pedal, fulcrum and rod with a thick grease like the stuff used for caliper slider pins. this solves the problem 99% of the time very very few re-occurring squeaks which would require a new master.
hope that helps
