Default stripped metal for window handle

can the gold piece with thread for the window handle teeth be replaced? easily... since someone put a wrench on it and just grinding it to **** it ruined 3 handles already (even using a flat head to straighten up the grooves didnt help)

this car has aftermarket power locks, I could splice into an EK4 door (jdm) and use the power locks off there? those doors come with power windows though which id like to wire up if possible.

doors are like 75$ each

maybe ill just get creative and weld a bolt on handle but the mechanism is also messed up, window goes up 3/4 and then needs pushed up by hand, and tighten the handle after that.

id really like to know what causes that as well !

Oh, good idea. You are talking about the part I posted the picture of, right? However you macgyver it, i'd like to try it out.

Maybe it needs to be aligned or the rubber guides/guards are bending inward instead of around?

Well when you fix it and it's rolled down, might as well align it:

Or, replace your window regulator.
