what makes a car bottom out shocks or springs?
i baught a lowered honda and if i hit certain bumbs the tires hit underneath the cars wheel well.
i pushed realy hard on both back and front bumper to try to get it to bounce and all i got was a down up and it stoped back at ride hight no bouncing so i know the shocks arnt shot so i was wondering if the springs he put on them where just two soft?
but like i said i dont know if its the shock or the spring being wrong that makes the car bottom out on bumps.
i found tein spings for like 175 and eibach springs for like 200 on pro civic still looking for struts just pricing things out for right now.

Just like Marc said, soft springs, probably cut springs cut too much. If you cut a little off them they actually ride okay depending on your shocks. Thats why when you see someone put lowering springs in that have a higher spring rate and blown shocks while they're slammed that **** gets wild.
