Default How much primer to paint a 93 hatch

How much primer does it take to paint a 93 hatch. Planning on painting the doorjams and as much of the metal as possible.

Just get a gallon and call it a day. Better to have too much than too little.

Get a gallon. It will be plenty & please don't use any 1k primers, most of them love to absorb.

u dont need a gallon. get no more than half a gallon... if its a 2k primer, when u reduce and add hardener you'll still have more than you need.

Depends on how much body work there is to be done. For a couple coats and an easy flat, I agree. I don't think this will be the case for him though (and in my experience, primer was almost always cheaper to buy by the gallon.)

of course its cheaper with the more you buy... but you still dont needa spend the extra money for extra material you dont need. it is better to have more than less... but we dont all have money pouring out our pockets. so this is why he asked how much he needed versus just going out and buying in bulk

but if OP is looking to primer, block, and reprimer and possibly seal. then sure, get a gallon. however, he hasnt stated wat his intentions are yet, other than to just primer. so i assumed half a gallon is more than enough for a hatch.
