Default Best Way to store tires???

Ok so I got a extra set of tires I from when I sold my ranger to get my civic. I took my nice tires off the rims of my truck and threw some bald ones on my truck before I sold it.

Anyway I want to know the proper way to store theses tires. Im gona hang onto them for a year or so and then when the tires on my dads truck need replacing i will have a good set.

Ive read about storing tire online but most of the instructions seem to before tires that are on a rim.

any help would be great

Thanks

I don't know of any way to store them to extend their life. I think you'll just have to decide when the time comes if they're still usable.

Black plastic bags with something to absorb moisture (silica packets are a good example). Make sure to keep them in an area that doesn't see extreme temperatures, and they should be fine.

If you stack them, make sure you have like thick cardboard in between, especially if your tires/wheels are stretched.

I would stack them sidewall to sidewall, as sitting them on the tread may cause them to generate a flat spot.
