94 ex cylinder head question
Ok i have a 1994 honda accord ex like I've said many times in different post lol. anyways i had my timing belt break and i wasn't lucky enough to have it not bend a valve...so should i go ahead and take the head to a machine shop and let me work on it....or should i buy a head with like a 30 day warranty from a junk yard?
I know in savannah we have a shop that specifically deals with heads. So hes an expert on this. If you have soemthing like that, where you live, then call them and tell them your problem, see what they say. See how much it will cost to repalce or straighten valves, and replace guide seats if necessary, along with checking the head for trueness. May not cost too much.
As far as the junkyard head, make sure it too didnt have a broken timing belt. Alot of times, people junk cars, just because the timing belt broke, especially with accords. The warranty is good and all, but you still have to provide the labor and the nea head gasket. Good luck!

Well i called one shop that i have dealt with in the past with my honda civic....and they will charge 150 in labor plus parts...which then i have to go buy a whole head gasket set...which i already have the valve cover gasket set that i got with my timing set.
