Default 95 sedan has trouble starting

95 sedan, stock f22b2 with 266k. So out of nowhere my car will start for a second, the rpm's drop, and it'll shut off. I have to give it gas for it to actually start and for it to stay running. I took a quick look and the spark plug wires are soaked in oil. I'll check that first but if anyone has any ideas please share!

NEW RELATED SYMPTOM: car will start then immediately die if the cluster lights are not on. If the light switch is on so that just the cluster is on it will run fine, sometimes when I brake hard they'll turn off but the car will still stay on, but iff i brake hard again they'll turn back on.

POSSIBLE SYMPTOM: brake pedal is unusually stiff when car does not turn on.

I'm doing some research and I'll update sometime tonight. Again, if anyone knows what I'm talking about PLEASE help!

So I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the ignition switch. I took apart the headlight switch and cleaned it and it still died when the switch was off. Another thing, when I turn the headlights on, the battery, brake, and CEl light came on faintly, even without the key in the ignition. I'm going to take the ignition switch out and look at that. More updates to come, but some help would be nice *hint*

Check your main relay for cold solder joints. It's a common problem in older Hondas

I re soldered my relay a couple months back, the fuel pump primes like it should.

when i turn my headlight switch on all the other cluster lights come on like when you turn the key on, so I think it's a wiring issue, just gotta find the diagrams. I have a feeling its not the ignition switch cause when the lights are on and the car is running fine I giggled the key and there wheren't ant weird electrical things happening.

idk though, I'll pull pulling an all-nighter trying to figure this out.

This appears to be ignition switch.

btw brake booster doesn't work until the car is on, that's why the brakes seem weird when you pump them when the car is off. Completely normal.

Scratch that, the problem's back. It started fine with the new ignition switch then an hour later the problem's back. So far I replaced the ignition switch, headlight switch, main relay, and checked all my fuses and wiring and I couldn't find anything. If anyone has the wiring diagram for the headlight switch maybe I can find the problem in there?

Possibly a ground issue? Might be a good idea for you to get the manual. Check all grounds locations. Check between the wire, attached to the ground point, and the negative terminal of the battery, should be <5ohms each. If any are higher, unbolt, clean and reattach, then try again, if this still doesnt help, run a dedicated ground to the negative terminal, from that ground.

Also, check all the grounds to the ECM, disconnect the harness, and check each ground to the negative terminal on the battery, again, <5ohms. I would pay special attention to the ground for the light switch/engine compartment.
