94 Del Sol - Just poked a hole in something important HELP!!!
So my friend's dumbass said he knew how to hook up some subs in my car.
Basically to make a long story short he ended up poking a hole in something by the battery and a hole bunch of gasses came out. Like freon or something. Please tell me what it is and what I need to do to fix it. if you look at the hole near the battery on the picture he drove a screwdriver through it and thats when a whole bunch of something sprayed out. HELP!!!

Picture resized. Figure out how either to take smaller pictures or to resize them on your computer. If you continue to post over-sized pictures, I will close your threads.
In all tech threads, you also need to mention what car you have. Not including this information will also lead to thread closure.
Replace the punctured refrigerant line, replace the receiver/dryer, and then pull a deep vacuum on the system overnight. If the vacuum holds (no leaks), then recharged the system with the proper weight of refrigerant.

Okay. I have a 1994 Honda Del sol. Its the hole thats to the right under the battery. I'm trying to figure out where to run the power cables from the battery. I know it was freon now. I just want to know what he poked a hole in.

Freon only runs through one system. Think about it for a second and follow Ron's directions regarding the replacements.
if he went from the engine bay into the car then its in the ac evaporator box behind the glove box. you will need to remove that and inspect the parts inside of it.
Remove the battery and take another (smaller) picture to post. Mark the hole where the screwdriver was pushed through and where refrigerant sprayed.
its most likely the ac evaporator core. the other thing behind that would be your heater core and then youd be pissing out coolant. so most likely ac. your probably gonna need a new ac box
I know guys what an idiot. I'm just as dumb for letting him. The orange circle is where the screwdriver punctured. Right where the black circular washer is.
If he would have just removed the battery he would have found an existing hole about two inches away from the "new" one.
^ Yep. As a bonus, tell your friend you want to upgrade to an Evap box with a cabin filter. What better time? Check my DIYs for the how-to in sig. I presume he's paying for the fix, yes?
willing to bet the always regretted "nah man its cool i know you didnt mean to" was said
Sweet. Might as well since I'm taking it out.
Lol It was more like "You Stupid MF!! YOUR PAYING FOR THIS S***!!!"
He sure as hell is.

Might be the expansion valve for the AC, if you saw a greenish fluid. Does the AC still work?
I have used that grommet myself without an issue, all he had to do was take off the grommet poke a hole in it put the wire through and then the wires would of just slide down.
