Default Leaking Hatch (I've read the sticky)

Is there supposed to be anything in the crack above the hatch?

How about the drivers side of the hatch?

Looking from behind the car this is the passanger side tire well, i took off the side panel and didnt see any water but this water is coming from the base of that (i havent taken it off yet)

This water is coming directly from the hatch strut itself, i place my finger on it and feel the water coming from straight up, but i dont see a trail of water coming from the top of the hatch. just the hatch and the bolt to the hatch

This is the driver's side hatch strut . water is also coming from it but feeling with my finger it seems to be coming moreso just about an inch towards the front of the car where a piece of metal is slightly seperated.

any tips? I've read the stickied post on fixes but I'm not certain it would work for these situations.

Okay so after running water over the car and viewing the car inside, the water coming from the side below the speaker is it coming from the tail lights, passanger side has a big leak , driver side doesn't. I heard a gasket can fix this but im not sure how it would , wouldnt the water go over the gasket and still into the car unless i found the origin? In order to look further Im going to have to remove the metal panel off the back <.< (also cannot find the origin of the leak for the struts meeting the hatch yet, still looking)

question : Isnt it possible to fill these drip lines up and just smooth the back of the car? I know some don't like it but I'd rather do that instead unless there is a much more useful reason to their existance lol (I understand needing the sunroof drip line though)

i know in my 89 crx the seams that have a caulk type sealant in them were leaking due to the seam sealer drying, cracking and allowing water through.

Well I found that the leak near the tail lights is originating from the outside the car. the drip lines are completely leakless from top to bottom , when they reach the bottom of the hatch it builds up to drip off the car and starts to and also leaks inside the tail lights, going to remove the tail lights and check the gasket, (i say this but im going to be removing the gasket and making my own with thick foam then seal the outside spaces between the light and top half with autobody sealant)
