Icon2 Transmission coolant plug

My 91 Accord has been leaking coolant (not from the radiator or hoses) when hot and overheating. I've tracked it down to a small bolt/plug (guessing 10mm) on the face of the transmission viewed from the passenger wheel compartment. It's clearly spurting coolant (not transmission fluid) out of there. I'm guessing that it is a drain plug for coolant that circulates through the transmission. Before I unscrew that plug (and accidentally drain all the transmission fluid) do I have it figured out?
Is there an o-ring or some other seal behind it?

exactly that "drain plug" is for the transmission drain hole. the only drain plug on these hondas is behind the engine black by the oil filter

This should be interesting.. There is no coolant anywhere in the trans only time coolant meets trans is the trans cooler for autos and that's in the rad.

The fluid that goes through the bottom of the radiator from the transmission is NOT coolant, it's auto transmission fluid.

Post some pictures, this just sounds too bizarre to not see.
