I already know the head is being restricted. The stock manifold doesn't supply nearly enough air and since I'm sticking with an all motor set up I really need cams.
And like I said the tires wouldn't grip in the 60ft as you can tell by the numbers.

But you already know this.

hey at least hes out there practicing.

but your times should be alot better. maybe your tune is all f-d up and not so much that intake mani.. but with a eg and a stock ls and the rear gutted you should be able to hit 14.8-6 pretty easy on street tires

that build can easily run low 14's high 13's. until you upgrade the cams.

Yah right now it's just on a best guess basemap.
Untuned and with me in it last I weighed the car at 2200lbs on a truck scale

Will have to get more of it inside the car now.
But it was a field pickup car that sat for five years outside.

And the picture of the car is right before i pulled the old LS out.

Car developed a nice clutch slip so now it's time to upgrade from stock.
Just got the skunk2 manifold and 70mm TB in today. Pics will be up later tonight.

soo... after i got the intake and TB in got two pulls out of the car and broke the open diff.

Just picked up full 96 spec ITR transmission internals and LSD.
Also picked up a Stage2 CC clutch kit today to address the clutch slip issue.

Working on uploading pics, but phone is being stupid.

i did a tooth count on it today since its taken apart, original trans was definitely a GSR however i had a slipping clutch at the time.

New setup thats going in on monday after a flywheel resurface is what i stated three posts up from this.

If you want my guess, I would say power is to be had at the header, camshafts, and a TUNE!

I'm going to be getting a new header soon. Stupid *** eBay one barely fits below oil pan and jus looks shitty and I know it doesn't do much, if anything, to help.

PLM one is in my sights.
The cams are gonna be in place after I build the head.

*just got the diff bearings swapped over today and got the internals in the tranny ready to go. More update tomorrow!

Cars been running now with stage2 CCI clutch kit from SpeedFactory Racing.
Gotta say I cant wait for it to be broke in and see how much of a difference the intake manifold/TB/LSD combo is making.

Next on the list is Header and then Paint this fall.

Heading to TnT tonight @ PacificRaceways to get a second timeslip. Will update after i get back home. Already been digging around dyno charts/forums/chatting with local tuner about header design and thoughts. So far on my small bore im thinking either PLM toda rep or Skunk2 Alpha because they are real close in flow. any insight?

Since tranny was fixed:
-got avid 70a mounts
-new basemap which seems to be running a lot better. spent some time with the guys doing it.

But now tracks are closed down for season around here will have to get more times up in the spring.

PAINT COMING SOON

You put a lot of work/time into this car and I can respect that. I just feel that it's a very "jumpy" build. Not very well planned out. I had a 4dr GSR with only a short ram intake run a 15.1. That's a much heavier car. All the mix/match parts you have and "base" tunes are messing you up. I think this motor has great potential if you sit back and re-think your plans. A good tune will make all the difference.

Good luck with the build. The car looks much better now than when you got it.
