Default P0131 - Low Voltage o2 Sensor --> Heated o2 Sensor w/ new Bosch sensor!!!!

I have cleared the codes but it still says heated o2 sensor.

Bank 1, Sensor 1......

That's BEFORE the cat, right?? Right there on the exhaust manifold???

I have now cleared it out again and disconnected the battery. Hopefully when I restart it, the code will go away!!!

But I'm going to bet that it doesn't for some reason.

It's idling at about 2000 rpm and dropping to 1500 rpm intermittently. Don't understand it.

I guess I will try testing for vacuum leaks with a Black & Mild "Summer Blend".

Other than that.... it could only be wiring. Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the upper o2 sensor??

You MUST provide all pertinent information about your car and engine. Failure to do so may result in thread closure.

Measure the fuel pressure and check for a short in the O2 sensor wires. If those are fine, swap in a known good ECU.

i have seen things like that. i would try an oem honda 02 sensor. and yes its the first sensor in the exhaust system. if that doenst work check all the wiring to make sure they didnt rub the exhaust or anywhere

My old man kept buying those bosch 02 sensors from autozone....because they are cheaper then OEM.

After we changed his 3 times in 18 months, he finally listened to me and got an OEM. 4 years later, still going strong. With the bosch's we'd install them, clear the codes, and he'd drive it 6 months on the dot, and the CEL would come right back.

Id get rid of that bosch...get a OEM sensor...and re-try it. I dont trust bosch parts, we arent driving VW's here

For your case...switch around the grey/white wires....top to bottom. It should work...how long is the only question

The o2 sensor ended up working just fine after I reset the ECU by unplugging the battery for a bit.

Cleared the code, and it never showed up again.

The revving back and forth from 2000 rpm to 1500 rpm was definitely the idle air control, however. Glad that this is over.

My other car, a Volvo is actually having this SAME, EXACT issue with revving from 2000 rpm to 1500 rpm.... so I know right where to look tomorrow.
