Long story but
Last I ran 13's I was dragging *** all over the place. I have shaved mud flaps from it being so low. But I guess if you have coil overs its not an issue.
I ran r compound on the street, when its dry out tho.

I think it's my only option. As you may have guessed the car isn't an Acura. It's a pre-2000 classic Mini that weighs about 1700 pounds wet and has a JDM B18C Type-R engine. The largest tire that will fit is a 13...and as you may have noticed, there aren't many choices in 13". It does have new sub frames and coil overs all the way around as well as Willwood 4 pot disks in front. It's down being turbo charged as I write this...Garrett GT28RS.
The car has a flip up fiberglass front end so access to everything is much easier. I was able to change the cam belt sitting on top of a 5 gallon bucket and never had to get up. It has no power steering, power brakes or A/C.
This winters plan is to finish the body work and paint it. At that time I'm gong to drop the transmission and send it to Sychrotech and have it re-geared and put in carbon fiber synchros.
The ratios we came up with are as wide as will work in a hydraulic trans. It has so little weight and will have even more power that a close ratio gearbox result in starting out in 2nd and maybe going to 4th.
After a few discussions with Synchrotech I'm going to end up with the following:
1st............ 3.08
2nd............1.9
3rd............1.269
4th............0.966
5th............0.714
F/D............3.47 (Houseman)
I'm hoping that if I use Toyo Proxes R888 with such a light car, that they'll last me a bit longer than most. I have and will use the car as an almost daily driver.
When I drove it from Ohio to Alabama, where the turbo is being fitted, I got 39 to 40 mpg. My low was 33 mpg and that was when I was having a little fun.
