my ef build/resto/whatever
i dont have pics right now, and ill get those uploaded later on, but i have been all over this site asking questions and whatnot like crazy, so i feel like i owe everyone a lil insight to what im going to do with my hatch.
i found the hatch on CL (yay me right?), well it was a CL special for sure and i bought it at night for a grand. needless to say the inerior is half *** decent, its light blue, with stock honda rims on it. got that nasty tbi, and the clutch was halfway gone. well, on the three hour trip back to my house, the clutch dumps out. after a tow back to my house i started to tear into it and determine how much it would take to get it to where i want it.
a bunch of crash parts, some lights, a clutch and clutch cable to say the least.
but right now the goal is getting the clutch in. and today, i made some progress with it. i dropped the axles, and did everything i could with the bottom today, and put a gas cap on it too haha.
next up on the list is gonna be the battery, and move it to the hatch, because i think it looks retarded under the hood where it is. and fix the ac. i wouldnt worry about it, but my kids will be ridin with me, so i think theyll appreciate the air as much as i will in SW georiga.
i found a guy about an hour away with everything i need to cnvert it from dpi to mpfi for only 75 dollars, so thats next after i get the thing runnin. and my friends honda just died on her, and luckily it had vtec. so i plan on buyin the head, solenoid and whatever else ill need off it to throw on mine.
ill give you an idea on what i want to achieve with this car too. im not trying to break records, but just have fun with my dd. ive had two camaros before, one being built, the other with an ls swap, so i decided to go the honda route this time as they almost kept up with my old cars. (one sold the other totaled.) so mpfi swap, and a mini me swap, with some bolt ons. ill most likely start savin up for a rebuild too, but nothin ridiculous. im a certified for diesel technician, and all i have known is diesel and a few gasburners, but hondas are a completely new world to me, so i will be asking alot of questions.
ill get pics up asap.

Awesome man. I'm in Albany a couple times a month, I might be able to lend a hand sometime. I have a crx, but they are basically the same.
If you put the battery in the back, you'll need a sealed case with a vent that goes outside, or a sealed battery. You probably already know, but regular batteries vent gas that can be hazardous to your health. I came from domestics and Hondas are so much easier to fix and more reliable.
Good luck with the build!

haha alright man, i know alot of other guys around here can be ******** about it so i kind of just keep it to myself really as far as what im going to do to it. my battery isnt holding a charge so i was gonna go with a sealed one for the back like you said. i know tomorrow if i have enough time the clutch will be in. i hate coming home from work and seeing it stuck in the front on jackstands. im ready to drive this thing.
