4 lug OEM 17 inch alloy wheels?
I'm redoing my 1993 civic, which came with 14" steel wheels with 4 lugs. Considering going with other rims which will fit Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Currently, that means 17 or 18 inch rims, http://www.michelinman.com/tire-sele...techspec_table
I would need 17 inch rims 6.5-7.5 wide, or 18 inch rims 7-8 inches wide. Were any of these OEM rims?

When you start getting in to 16, 17, 18 inch rims on a 92-95 Civic.. I find things start to look, well, funny. Odd. Peculiar.
Max OEM size for a 5th Gen was 15" - this was in Japan on the SiR and in Europe on the VTi. These look really nice. Anything bigger and things start to look not quite right, in my opinion of course.

Thanks. It doesn't really sound like the best idea to put on rims that much larger. I would really like to use the Super Sport tires. I can wait and hope, but doubt they will go even to 15 inch rims. I will probably stay with the factory 14" steel wheels.
Best tire we'd have that is close to the Super Sport (in 14" sizes) is the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1
185/60R14
195/60R14
185/60R14
195/60R14

I am comparing the Dunlops you mentioned with Pilot Exaltos.
