Default Shift linkage?

My cb7 accord does not seem to go into gears like it should and around 7500-8000 rpm its hard to go into gear with out missing it and grinding. My dad think my shift linkage needs adjustment but, Does that sound right? How do I adjust my shift linkage ( i know hot to adjust the cables but how do I know where or how to adjust them) and will adjusting my shift linkage fix my problem? Will a short sifter help? My tranny never use to grind or miss gears but then I recently ( less then 1000 miles ago) put regular motor oil in and I have been meaning to put honda mtf in But I have not had time. could that help?

It's your synchros going out. You could try putting some synchromesh in.
