hi all i have a 99 accord and just put a used transmission in and now the car does not move at all is there a special way to fill the trans or fill torque convertor?

 

Did you check the fluid before you started the engine? Normally they're filled through the dipstick spout. You did remember to bolt torque converter to flex plate right?

 

yes the torque convertor is bolted to the flywheel i put 3 qts in and it acts like the torque convertor is not filling up the car goes in drive but does not move no lights are flashing and the check engine light is not on

 

Did you double check all electrical connections are fully connected? And that theyre corrected to the right connector? I would double double check, the install, making sure nothign was missed or pinched, and the shift cable is properly installed. I was going to say, the torque converter wasnt seated properly, but i believe in that situation, the fluid leaks out.

But if all that checks out, it soulds almost like the pump isnt making any pressure. I would take it in, if the install looks right. Youre certain the transmission worked before you put it in?

 

thanks for the help the pump is not working properly just pull it out again and get another trans
