Hi I have a 96 civic dx coupe with a Sir-G (jdm version of us gsr) motor. Well for the past few months me cel has been coming on while driving but when I turn my car off then back on it go's off and wont come back on for days or even weeks at a time. Also when it comes on my car seems to have no throttle response/bogs.has this happened to anyone if so what was the problem? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I thought u have to turn the car off, get a paper clip or something to jump the wires by the ecu then turn your car to on and count the cel flashes

 

Click the CEL sticky at the top.

When my cel comes on can I pull to the side of the road with my car on in my 6th gen I know the sticky says you can in a 5th but what about a 6th?

 

You can but OBD2 Civics generally don't lose CEL codes after turning the engine off.
