Default Difference between ITR and GSR(sir-g) lsd??

I just put a itr tranny on my jdm b18c that came w/ a stock lsd. The itr lsd seems to hook up alot better in accelerating and cornering. Is this just cuz i spent $1300 on a itr tranny and want it to feel better or are there actually mechanical differences? Thanks.

From what I read somewhere the SIR-G LSD is viscous whereas the ITR LSD is Helical.
