CRX Wont Start!
So earlier I was having coolant line problems, now I am having starting issues.
My setup is a D16a6 head on a D15b2 block. I have an EG manifold, and got what is supposedly an Si dizzy off some dude on Craigslist. Whole Si harness, PM6 ECU. New sparkplugs, ignition wires are old but worked when we took the car apart. The car is getting fuel because we can smell it when we take the spark plugs out.
So now I had a friend ground one of the spark plugs and he said that sometimes it wasn't sparking and sometimes it was but very faintly. He knows cars so it's not like he is ignorant. So I am wondering here if maybe I have the wrong distributor. Is there a way to tell if its a CRX Si one? I have the stock DX one. Is there a way that I can use that? If not is anyone selling an Si dizzy for a decent price? I can post pictures if needed just let me know.
Thanks

I believe summit sells reman dist for $160 without the cap and rotor (but you will already have these)
If it fits and bolts up I dont think that compatibility is really the issue, I think it is either broken or something else is. I can't imagine d-series engine distributors would spark the plugs any differently
Does the engine turn over, does it start and stall, what sound does it make? Why did you take it apart in the first place?
Check the set screw in the side of the rotor. With the set screw loose/missing, the sparkplugs will still ignite, but sparatically. Almost sounds like your symptoms. Easy to check.
