I have a '92 Accord EX with a 2.2 litre engine. It was having a lot of problems with the TB and after replacing the TPS we finally just replaced the entire TB with one we got at the junkyard. After putting in the TB, the car seems like it's got more power than it had before, but it idles at a pretty high rate. When it's in park, the rpm's are around 2000. When I switch to reverse, the rpm's return to somewhat normal, but still high at 1100 or so. The TB was thoroughly cleaned before putting it in and the I'm fairly certain there are no leaks. The throttle cable may be a little too tight, but if that's not the case what else could it possibly be?

Where are the fitv and the iacv? Is it possible to test them?

 

Sounds like a vacuum leak or something didnt get tightened right.

best thing to do is to remove them and clean them thoroughly.also make sure tps(throttle position sensor) shows .5v
