I was sitting in my car in front of work letting it cool down while I was chowin on a Teriaki bowl from Jack in the Crack when all of a sudden I felt a *THUNK* from my floor boards.

The hell? I was guessing it came from the engine bay but it never returned. What the hell could have made that thunk?

or it could be a heatshield.

 

I dont have a heat sheild and she still is running good, I'm sure that midget would have died from the heat a long time ago.

probably blew some hose. or some stunna with some loud a$$ base !!

 

ive looked everything over and nothing seems to be wrong. it wasnt a bass hit either. it was a clear thunk on the floor boards.

 

maybe a ninja turtle comming out of the sewer hit your floorboard with the manhole cover....

I've had that happen before. I guess it's just expansion/contraction like posted above. I've heard some wierd wind noises when I'm driving with my sunroof open also... hrmmm.

Sounds like you blew the welds on your intake manifold from the NOS you were running, the thud you heard was your floorboard's diamond plate shooting up its screws and falling off... like the fast and the furious, hehe.

weird sounds...go figure. I was driving hard one night (not really racing, though) and felt a pop through the gas pedal, but didn't hear anything...I pulled over and let the car idle for a minute and backed it up so I could see all my oil and coolant leaking out but, it wasn't...popped the hood and nothing. still runs fine weeks later.
