I bought a 97 ex manual gauge cluster for my car so I would have a rev counter, (I own a 96 cx, had no tach) and the new gauge cluster has a srs light that stays on. My car has been in no accidents and the airbags have never deployed. Old gauge cluster srs light was never on. I'm positive this is a malfunction with the srs light. I know the steps to reset the light, I just cannot find the MES plug. Also I need help removing the under dash panel so I have better access to the fuse relay box so I can find that darn plug. I took out the three screws and unsnapped the clip on the left of the steering wheel but something is still holding on the right of the wheel. Please help!

 

there is a clip to the right of the steering wheel.

your connector should be sit in the fuse box, top right corner i believe. there's not many yellow connectors under there anyway.

 

I was finally able to take off the lower dash panel and this is what I saw. Can someone point out the MES?

I now have my light reset, the plug back in the dummy socket, and the panel back in place every thing worked beautifully.
