Took a road trip in my fiancees 01 accord 2.3l going from florida to washington dc. As soon as we got into georgia the ac compressor clutch crapped out and now its just making a horrible noise. I only have enough tools to replace a belt while im here.

So with that said does anyone know a universalbelt size that will just run the altternator? I know they make the ac bypass pulleys but thats a lot of work for a temp fix nd i dont have the tools to do all that. Thanks in advance

 

You can just measure it with something and take the measurement down to the auto parts store and have em size it up with wut they got in stock.

 

Take a piece of string or twine, cut to length, go to Advanced Auto/Napa/Etc and have them find you a belt that is that size.

 

I just replaced this belt with the one you are looking for on my 2000 Accord EX coupe, 2.3L. Couldn't find the right belt at any autoparts stores, so I called the nearest Honda dealer and they had it in next day.

$30, part number 31110-P0B-A12, measures about 38 3/16", 6 rib.

Works just fine going from crankshaft to alternator. Anyone who says the compressor gets in the way is wrong, I just did it an hour ago. This is the part they make for the DX model with no AC.

 

For the 2001 Honda Accord LX F23A1 motor code I found a Napa part number for a small belt which came from an obscure non air conditioned Honda DX model. That universal part number was 6PK0940. I went to another part store and they had a Duralast Multi-V Belt with part 370K6 that this converted to. This belt worked on my 2001 Honda Accord for Nearly 3 months until I got the AC compressor replaced. Hope this helps you all out!
