99 civic si/b16a swap -- head-block dowel pin fitment

Default 99 civic si/b16a swap -- head-block dowel pin fitment
just go my dowels pins in...the ones used to align the head and block and they wont fit. even one of the original ones wont fit. ive air hosed out the hole and have used oil and stillcant get them in, any ideas?

Wait... you are aware that 1/2 of the dowel pin fits in the block, and the other 1/2 fits in the head, right? How many pins do you have, and are you sure they're meant for your engine?

yes i am aware, they are even marked to show u how far down they go. the new ones are the same size as 1 that was taken off a while ago and now that one wont even go in.

there's only 2, and they go out the exhaust side (outer portions)
